James Spader will join the cast of NBC’s The Office, reprising his performance as Robert California, CEO of Sabre, the parent company of Dunder Mifflin. The actor created the character on the show’s season finale earlier this year.
Spader starred in David Mamet’s Race on Broadway. He is perhaps best known for his Emmy Award-winning work on The Practice and Boston Legal. Among his other credits are such films as Secretary, sex lies and video tape and Stargate.
The Office chronicles the world of a group of typical office workers, their ego clashes, inappropriate behavior, and tedium.
