Plays by Rajiv Joseph and Tracy Letts are on tap for the Chicago theater.
Plays by Tracy Letts, Rajiv Joseph, Claire Barron, and more are on tap for the 2017-18 season at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre.
First up on the list is the Chicago premiere of Jessica Dickey's The Rembrandt, running September 7-October 22. Directed by Hallie Gordon, the production features Steppenwolf ensemble members Francis Guinan and John Mahoney.
The world premiere of Letts' Broadway-bound The Minutes, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, will run November 9-December 31. Ian Barford, Francis Guinan, and Tim Hopper will star, with the Broadway premiere taking place in spring 2018.
Aziza Barnes' BLKS, directed by Nataki Garrett and featuring ensemble member Namir Smallwood, will run December 7-January 21.
Barron's You Got Older, directed by Jonathan Berry and featuring Audrey Francis and Caroline Neff, will run January 25-March 11.
Matthew-Lee Erlbach's The Doppelgänger (An International Farce), directed by Tina Landau, will run April 5-May 20. Alana Arenas, Gary Cole, Ora Jones, Sandra Marquez, and James Vincent Meredith will star.
Omar Metwally and Arian Moayed will return to Rajiv Joseph's Guards at the Taj for its Steppenwolf premiere, directed by Amy Morton and running May 31-July 15.
The season will end with Jen Silverman's The Roommate, running June 21-August 5 and featuring Ora Jones and Sandra Marquez.
