Glee star and Broadway veteran Matthew Morrison is planning to work on his previously reported first solo CD in London during June, according to the Associated Press.
Morrison will be writing the music, and will be backed by a large orchestra. According to the AP, he describes the style as a “cross between Michael Buble and Justin Timberlake.” As previously reported, Morrison signed a deal with Mercury Records to record the CD, which is expected to be released in the fall.
Morrison stars as Will Schuester on Glee, which will have its season finale tomorrow night. He received a Tony nomination for his performance in The Light in the Piazza, with other Broadway credits including Hairspray, South Pacific, and A Naked Girl on the Appian Way.
