Full casting has been announced for the Aurora Theatre Company’s production of Gore Vidal’s The Best Man directed by Tom Ross, August 22-September 28.
The show, which explores the issues surrounding a bid for the White House, will star Tim Kniffin, Charles Shaw Robinson, Charles Dean, Elizabeth Benedict, Michael Cassidy, Jackson Davis, Deb Fink, Michael Patrick Gaffney, and Emily Talbot.
The Aurora season will continue with George Bernard Shaw’s The Devil’s Disciple, which will run October 31-December 7, followed by the West Coast premiere of George Packer’s political drama about the Iraq war, Betrayed, to run January 23-March 1; August Strindberg’s drama Miss Julie, to be directed by Mark Jackson, April 3-May 10; and Bob Glaudini’s comedy Jack Goes Boating, June 12-July 19, to be directed by Joy Carlin.
