For us, the big day brings not only family, friends, and a cornucopia of delicious food, but also nationally televised performances of the year's biggest musicals during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade broadcast. In 2008, theater lovers were treated to a particularly tasty delicacy: a number from the newly Tony-winning musical In The Heights, written by up-and-coming musical-theater star Lin-Manuel Miranda.
