Delirium is a new adaptation of Eugène Ionesco’s Frenzy for Two, Or More.

Following a run in Boston, the Arlekin production of Delirium, a new adaptation of Eugène Ionesco’s Frenzy for Two, Or More, adapted and directed by Igor Golyak will have its New York premiere. Delirium will run September 8-October 24, with an opening night set for September 24, at the Space at Irondale.
Andrey Burkovskiy and Chulpan Khamatova return to star as a couple locked in an endless argument while the world outside collapses into chaos. As the boundaries between reality and delusion dissolve, Khamatova (“Her”) and Burkovskiy (“Him”) inhabit a space where conflict becomes connection, and contradiction becomes a form of devotion.
The production reunites Golyak with the creative team behind the company’s award-winning production of Our Class, including scenic and properties designer Jan Pappelbaum, costume designer Sasha Ageeva, and music composer Anna Drubich, plus lighting designer Jeff Adelberg and sound designer Denis Zabiyaka.
