Tony Award winner Dee Dee Bridgewater’s new CD, Midnight Sun, will be released on DDB Records/Emarcy (Universal) on Tuesday, August 23.
The CD’s 11 tracks will feature selections from her CDs Dear Ella, Keeping Tradition, This Is New, J’ai Deux Amours, Love & Peace: A Tribute To Horace Silver and Eleanora Fagan (1915-1959): To Billie With Love From Dee Dee), which won the 2011 Grammy Award.
Selections will include “Speak Low,” “I’m A Fool To Want You/I Fall In Love Too Easily,” “Here I’ll Stay,” Que Reste-t-Il?” “Good Morning Heartache” and the title track.
Bridgewater won the Tony Award for her role in the original Broadway production of The Wiz.
