Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita and Danny Gardner will brush up their Shakespeare.
Broadway stars bring the classic Cole Porter musical Kiss Me, Kate to Feinstein's/54 Below for two "54 Sings" concerts on January 7 at 7pm and 9:30pm.
Based on William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, Kiss Me, Kate first opened on Broadway in 1948 and became Porter's longest-running production. The romantic comedy's famed score features a number of classic tunes including "Another Op'nin', Another Show," "Wunderbar," "So in Love," and "Brush Up Your Shakespeare."
The cast will feature Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde), Nightlife Award Winner Carole J. Bufford, and Dames at Sea costars Lesli Margherita and Danny Gardner. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
The concert will be produced, directed, and hosted by Scott Siegel — creator/writer/host of Town Hall’s Broadway by the Year series.
