Christopher Ashley, Leslie Odom Jr. Set for Princess Grace Award Benefit Dinner
Princess Grace Award winners Christopher Ashley and Leslie Odom Jr. will join guests for a reception and dinner on Tuesday, April 24. The event will be followed by a preview performance of the new Broadway musical Leap of Faith, at the St. James Theatre, which is directed by Ashley and features Odom.
The Princess Grace Awards recognize outstanding emerging artists in the performing arts: theater, dance, film, playwriting and choreography.
Leap of Faith is based on the motion picture of the same name, and features a book by original screenwriter Janus Cercone and Tony Award-winning playwright, Warren Leight, with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater. It stars Raúl Esparza as part-time reverend and full-time con artist Jonas Nightingale, and Jessica Phillips as the town sheriff, Marla Humes, who is determined to stop him.
