Producer Hal Luftig has announced three ways audiences can experience the Broadway revival of Mark Medoff's Children of a Lesser God at Studio 54 — an effort to broaden the show's accessibility to patrons of all abilities.

At every performance, the production will feature supertitles, with the play’s text incorporated into the show’s scenic design.

Additionally, every performance will feature closed captioning available through the GalaPro app which is available on Apple or Android devices. After downloading and creating an account, when audience members arrive at Studio 54, they can select Children of a Lesser God and the app will guide them through the setup process and allow them to stream captions. At select performances of Children of a Lesser God, American Sign Language interpreters will also be present. For dates and to buy tickets to the select performances, click here.

Directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon, Children of a Lesser God stars Joshua Jackson and Lauren Ridloff, alongside Anthony Edwards, Kecia Lewis, Julee Cerda, Treshelle Edmond, and John McGinty.

The story is described as follows: "One of the most indelible love stories of the modern age, Children of a Lesser God brings to life the passionate and personal connection between a teacher at a school for the deaf (Jackson) and the remarkable woman (Ridloff) he meets there." The drama debuted on Broadway in 1980, earning the Tony Award for Best Play.

Performances of Children of a Lesser God begin tonight in advance of an April 11 opening.
