Tony Award winner Alice Ripley, Tony Award nominees John Tartaglia and Chad Kimball, as well as Jeremy Kushnier and Tituss Burgess, will perform in the upcoming Rockers on Broadway: Behind the Music concert at the new Cutting Room (44 East 32nd Street) on Monday October 15 at 8pm.
Rockers on Broadway: Behind the Music will honor the crossover talents of songwriters who have written chart topping hits as well as musicals for theater, film and television, such as Elton John, Pete Townshend, Duncan Sheik and Billy Joel.
As previously reported, there will also be a tribute to the late Marvin Hamlisch and extremely rare and anticipated performances by Academy, Grammy and Golden Globe-Award winning composer Paul Williams and three-time Tony-Award winning composer Rupert Holmes, who will be the evening’s lifetime achievement honorees.
Proceeds will benefit The ASCAP Foundation’s Children Will Listen Program, The Broadway Dreams Foundation and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
