Louis Ozawa Changchien (Second Stage’s Warrior Class), Matt Dellapina (The Dream of the Burning Boy), Aubrey Dollar (Guiding Light), Keith Nobbs (Lombardi), and Chris Perfetti (Picnic) are set to star in Second Stage Uptown’s world premiere of Erica Lipez’s The Tutors. Thomas Kail (In the Heights) will direct the production, which begins previews May 22 with an opening on June 5.
The mounting will be produced as part of Second Stage’s 2013 Uptown Series, which exists to help develop and provide exposure for the voices of a new generation of theater artists. The creative team features scenic design by Rachel Hauck, costume design by Jessica Jahn, lighting design by Betsy Adams, sound design by Jill DuBoff, and fight direction by Thomas Schall.
