Will Chase, Joshua Henry, Karen Olivo, et al. Set for Studio Cast Recording of Fugitive Songs

Matt Caplan, Will Chase, Joshua Henry, Karen Olivo, and Alysha Umphress will sing on the studio cast album for composer/lyricist team Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen’s Fugitive Songs, which will be recorded in September, with a planned December 2011 release to be distributed by Yellow Sound Label.

Fugitive Songs is structured as a song cycle that tracks a journey across America, spotlighting people on the run, including a disgruntled Subway sandwich employee, a jilted ex-cheerleader, a pair of Patty Hearst fanatics, and a stoner who robs a convenience store against his will.

The musical was originally produced Off-Broadway in 2008 by the Dreamlight Theatre Company, and was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revue.
