Roundabout Theatre Company honored Dame Helen Mirren at its 2015 spring gala, held March 2 in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria. Mirren, currently starring on Broadway in The Audience, was presented with the Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre following a tribute from Broadway vets including Jennifer Garner, Alessandro Nivola, Laura Benanti, Alan Cumming, Laura Osnes, Betsy Wolfe, and more.

Mirren made her Broadway debut in 1995 at Roundabout Theatre Company in a Tony-nominated performance in A Month in the Country. The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre is named after the late Jason Robards for his longstanding relationship with Roundabout and for his memorable body of stage work. It is given to those who have made an indelible impact on both Roundabout and the theater world.

All proceeds from this event go toward Roundabout Theatre Company’s Musical Theatre Fund and Education programs, which serve over 15,000 students and teachers in schools throughout New York City's five boroughs.
