The cast of Leslye Headland’s Assistance met the press on their first day of rehearsals at Playwrights Horizons on Tuesday, January 10. Trip Cullman directs the production, which will run February 3 – March 11, with an opening on February 28.
Headland’s satire focuses on a group of young assistants, who find that their lives are an endless series of humiliations at the hands of their hellacious boss, a powerful uber-magnate.
The production will star Michael Esper and Virginia Kull, and also feature Sue Jean Kim, Lucas Near-Verbrugghe, Amy Rosoff, and Bobby Steggert.
The cast was joined for the rehearsal by the show’s choreographer, Jeffry Denman, as well as Playwrights Horizons’ artistic director, Tim Sanford.
