Lincoln Center will open its newest stage, the Claire Tow Theater, with the world premiere production of Greg Pierce's Slowgirl. Anne Kauffman will direct the play, which will run June 4-July 15, with an opening on June 18.

Slowgirl tells the story of a young woman who flees to her reclusive uncle's retreat in the Costa Rican jungle to escape the aftermath of a horrific accident.

The production will feature sets by Rachel Hauck, costumes by Emily Rebholz, lighting by Japhy Weideman and sound by Leah Gelpe. Casting will be announced at a later date.

The Claire Tow Theater is named after the wife of long-time LCT Board of Directors member Leonard Tow, and will be home to LCT3, a programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists as well as developing new audiences. It will be LCT's third stage at Lincoln Center, joining the Vivian Beaumont and Mitzi E. Newhouse Theaters.
