The Broadway revival of Ken Ludwig's Lend Me a Tenor has delayed the start of its performances by one day, and will now begin previews at the Music Box Theatre on March 12. The scheduled opening date of April 4 remains the same.

Set in the 1930s, this madcap screwball comedy is set in motion when Tito Merelli, a fiery-tempered and world famous Italian superstar, arrives in Cleveland, Ohio to make his debut with the local opera and promptly goes missing, with chaos ensuing.

The stated cause for the delay is that director Stanley Tucci will be traveling to and from The Academy Awards (he is nominated or his performance in The Lovely Bones).

The cast of Lend Me a Tenor includes Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Shalhoub, Justin Bartha, Jan Maxwell, Mary Catherine Garrison, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Jay Klaitz, and Brooke Adams. The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design), Martin Pakledinaz, (costume design), Peter Hylenski (sound design), and David Loud (musical supervisor).
