Justin Sayre will present a new solo show, Justin Sayre Makes the Case for America, at Joe's Pub on September 29 and 30.

"Inspired," according to a press release, by "the ‘Be-In' movement of the 1960s, Justin Sayre Makes the Case for America — which he lovingly dubs as a ‘Love-In' — is Sayre's hilarious and heartfelt response to perhaps the most pressing question of our time: What does it mean to be an American at this moment and how do we move forward? Through his one-of-a-kind mix of comedy and pathos, Sayre invites us into his ‘apartment' for an intimate evening of stories, songs, comedy and, if all goes well, even a little bit of fried chicken."

Sayre is a writer and performer best known for his downtown variety show The Meeting. He worked as a staff writer on 2 Broke Girls and appeared opposite Lisa Kudrow on The Comeback.
