Jean-Claude van Itallie to Bring Confessions and Conversation to La MaMa
In the piece, van Itallie discusses his life as an Off-Off-Broadway artist in 1960s New York City, his lovers, and his friendship with La MaMa founder Ellen Stewart, who served as his mentor and "mama." He will be accompanied by pianist Kevin Hourigan.
