Balsam, Halston, Pankow, et al. Set for New Group’s (naked) Series

Talia Balsam, Julie Halston, and John Pankow will head the cast of Robert Tenges’ Strangers Knocking, which will be performed in repertory with Heather Lynn MacDonald’s Expats in the New Group’s (naked) series, May 14-June 3 at Theatre Row.

Strangers Knocking, to be directed by Marie Masters, focuses on how the budding sexuality of a high school girl throws into relief the strains in her parents’ marriage. The cast also features Stella Maeve and Michael Stahl-David.

Expats, to be directed by Ari Edelson, looks at American twenty-somethings who are trying to make their mark amidst the sex, death, and corruption of Russia’s emerging marketplace. The cast features Reiko Aylesowrth, James Badge Day, Jay Klaitz, Matthew Rauch, Taylor Wilcox, and Natalia Zvereva.

The creative team for the series includes Peter R. Feuchtwanger (sets), Kristine Koury (costumes), and Nicole Pearce (lighting). Bart Fasbender will provide sound design for Strangers Knocking and Travis Walker will provide sound design for Expats.
