Audra McDonald to Appear at Carnegie Hall on October 22

Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald will appear at Carnegie Hall at 8pm on Saturday, October 22 as part of her 17-city concert tour across North America. She will be joined by Tony Award-winner Ted Sperling, who will be conducting a Broadway-sized orchestra.

McDonald will present her trademark mix of show tunes, classic songs from movies, and pieces written expressly for her by leading contemporary composers.

McDonald is currently appearing the A.R.T. production of The Gershwins’ Porgy & Bess, which will transfer to Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre on December 17. She won Tony Awards for her performances in Carousel, Master Class, Ragtime, and A Raisin in the Sun. In addition, she received Tony Award nominations for her work in Marie Christine and 110 in the Shade. She recently starred on ABC’s Private Practice.
