Heidi Armbruster and Dan McCabe will star in the Keen Company's production of Robert Anderson's Tea and Sympathy, March 6-April 14 at the Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row. The production, to be directed by Jonathan Silverstein, will open officially on March 15.

First produced on 1953, with Deborah Kerr and John Kerr (who were not related) in the leads, the play concerns a lonely and misunderstood 17-year-old, presumed to be gay by his teachers and classmates, who finds unexpected kindness from the wife of his chief accuser. Joan Fontaine and Anthony Perkins took over the leads during the run. Both Kerrs recreated their roles for the 1956 film version, directed by Vincente Minnelli.

Armbruster's many stage credits include Richard III, King Lear, Sea of Tranquility, and The Importance of Being Earnest; she previously starred in the Keen Company's production of Good Morning Bill. McCabe has appeared Off-Broadway in Second Stage's The Dear Boy and Playwrights Horizons' Pen.
