Amy Acker, Larry Pine Set for Boomerang’s Reading of The Monster Tales

Amy Acker and Larry Pine will star in The Boomerang Theatre Company’s reading of Mary Jett Parsley Wrenn’s The Monster Tales, at The Actors Company Theatre Studio on February 1 at 7pm. Cailín Heffernan will direct.

Presented as part of The Legacy Reading Series, the play tells the story of a lonely young woman who discovers her singular humanity when a monster appears from under her bed.

Acker is best known for her television roles on Dollhouse, Angel, and Alias. Among Pine’s many Broadway credits are Bus Stop, Angels in America, and Joe Egg; he has also starred Off-Broadway in more than two dozen plays, including Stuff Happens, The Seagull, and Vanya on 42nd Street.
