Adam Bock, Bob Glaudini, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Jonathan Marc Sherman, et al. Set for LAByrinth’s Barn Reading Series

LAByrinth Theater Company has announced the plays and playwrights to be included in its 11th Annual Barn Reading Series, a festival of staged readings highlighting 14 new plays at The Cherry Pit, November 29-December 21.

Works will include Marcy Comes Home, by Adam Bock; A Family For All Occasions, by Bob Glaudini; They Killed Boo Boo?, by Maggie Bofill; Untitled, by Stephen Adly Guirgis; The Walking Game, by Daniel Harnett; New Short Plays; by Israel Horovitz; Channel, by John Jiler; Oh, The Power, by David Bar Katz; If You Love Me, by Lyle Kessler; The Bends, by Megan Mostyn-Brown; You Are Here, by Melissa Ross; Utilites, by Jonathan Marc Sherman; Rivers Of January, by Ben Snyder; and Heal Me Television, by Martha Wollner.

Also newly announced is LAByrinths’ world premiere of Thinner Than Water, a new play by Melissa Ross with direction by Mimi O’Donnell, to be presented at The Cherry Pit, February 8-March 6, with an opening on February 13. The play involves a dying father and his three estranged children.

LAByrinth’s 2010-2011 season will also include the previously reported world premiere of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ The Motherf**ker with the Hat on Broadway, with the cast including Bobby Cannavale, Chris Rock, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra, and Yul Vázquez. Anna D. Shapiro will direct the production at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, beginning March 22, with an opening on April 11.
