Actors’ Fund Chooses The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas for Fall Benefit Concert
Whorehouse has a book by Larry L. King and Peter Masterston and a score by Carol Hall. The original Broadway production, directed by Tommy Tune and starring Carlin Glynn and Henderson Forsythe, ran for nearly 1,600 performances.
Other upcoming Actors’ Fund events include the organization’s annual New York gala on May 8, which will honor producer Rocco Landesman; a Tony Awards party in Los Angeles on June 11, at which Liza Minnelli will receive the 2006 Julie Harris Lifetime Achievement Award; and a staged reading of Charles Busch’s Die! Mommie! Die! on June 19 at the Hudson Theatre.
