International City Theatre has announced the five plays that will comprise the 2013 season.

The season will launch with Mark Brown’s adaptation and staging of Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days (January 25-February 17). The season will continue with Terrence McNally‘s Tony Award-winning Master Class (March 22- April 14), based on a series of master classes taught by soprano Maria Callas at Juilliard in 1971. Sarah Ruhl‘s Dead Man’s Cell Phone (June 7-30), a quirky, Helen Hayes Award-winning comedy about morality, redemption, is up next.

In the late summer, ICT will present John Logan‘s Red (August 23-September 15), an intimate glimpse into the world of abstract expressionist painter Mark Rothko. The final production of the season will be Don’t Dress for Dinner (October 11-November 3) by Marc Camoletti, a sex farce in the true French tradition, translated by Robin Hawdon.
