Renee Brna to Star in South Coast Repertory’s Jane of the Jungle
Karen Zacarias and Deborah Wicks La Puma’s new musical June of the Jungle will have its world premiere as part of South Coast Repertory’s Theatre for Young Audiences series, running May 25-June 10 on the Julianne Argyros Stage.Juliette Carrillo will direct the production,
Renee Brna will star as Jane, a girl about to start middle school when she wakes up and finds that she’s grown furry ears and a tail, and that her neighborhood is turning into a jungle.
Eymard Cabling will play her brother, Milo, alongside Derek Manson as her Jane’s father and Jayme Hood as Jane’s mother. The cast alsoincludes Elia Saldana and Erika Whalen.
The production will feature choreography by Sheetai Gandhi, scenic design by Sara Ryung Clement, costume design by Garry Lennon, lighting design by Lonnie Rafael Alcarez, and sound design by Sam Lerner.
