Los Angeles Theatre Center Fall Season Themed "Face of the World 2012" logo

The Los Angeles Theatre Center, under the stewardship of The Latino Theater Company, has announced its fall season, which as the theme "Face of the World 2012."

Five plays comprise the regularly scheduled season: Flipzoids, written by Ralph B. Pena, directed by Jon Lawrence Rivera (October 6-8); Faith: Part I of A Mexican Trilogy, a world premiere by Evelina Fernandez, directed by Jose Luis Valenzuela (October 12-November 11); Empanada for a Dream, written and performed by Juan Francisco Villa, directed by Alex Levy (October 25-November 18); Anna Lucasta, written by Philip Yordan, directed by Ben Guillory (November 8-December 9); and La Virgen De Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin, adapted from "Nican Mopohua" by Evelina Fernandez, directed by Jose Luis Valenzuela (December 6 & 7).

In addition, the regular season will be preceded by two bonus attractions André y Dorine, written by Kulunka Teatro, directed by Inaki Rikarte (September 7-9) and Illuminated Manuscript: a hip-hop interpretation of The Epic of Gilgamesh, directed by Amy "Catfox" Campion (September 28-30).
