Miranda won the Tony Award for his score to In the Heights, and was also Tony-nominated for Best Actor in a Musical for the production. He is also set to play the part of Usnavi in the film version of the musical. His other credits include contributing Spanish lyrics to the current Broadway revival of West Side Story and composed new songs for the revised version of the musical Working.
