Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda will reprise his role of Usnavi for the Los Angeles engagement of the In the Heights national tour, to play the Pantages Theatre, June 22-July 11.

The 2008 Tony Award winner for best musical, In the Heights is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler. Featuring music and lyrics by Miranda, and a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes, the musical focuses on the tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan and the hopes and dreams of three generations as they struggle to forge an identity in a neighborhood on the brink of transition.

Miranda won the Tony Award for his score to In the Heights, and was also Tony-nominated for Best Actor in a Musical for the production. He is also set to play the part of Usnavi in the film version of the musical. His other credits include contributing Spanish lyrics to the current Broadway revival of West Side Story and composed new songs for the revised version of the musical Working. In addition, Miranda is collaborating with Tony award-winning composer Tom Kitt on the Broadway-aimed musical Bring It On.
