Kathy Buckley to Offer Heroes’ Way June 19 Benefit Performance

Actress and comedienne Kathy Buckley will offer a one-night-only performance of Heroes’ Way at the Kirk Douglas Theatre on June 19 at 7:30pm. The event will benefit No Limits, a national outreach educational program for deaf and hard-of-hearing children.

In the performance, Buckley will offer her signature comedy stylings and will be joined by the No Limits Children’s Performing Ensemble. The event will also feature an after party that will include a meet-and-greet with the cast, photo ops with celebs, cocktails, food and entertainment.

Buckley, a five-time American Comedy Award nominee as Best Standup Comedienne, originally gained fame as “America’s First Hearing Impaired Comedienne.” In addition, Buckley has written and performed two Off-Broadway shows, Don’t Buck with Me and Now Hear This! and an original PBS special, No Labels, No Limits!. She is also the author of the autobiographical book, If You Could Hear What I See.

The mission of No Limits is to meet the auditory, speech and language needs of deaf children and enhance their confidence through the theatrical arts and individual therapy as well as provide family support and community awareness on the needs and talents of deaf children who are learning to speak.
