Long Day’s Journey Into Night star Jessica Lange has found her next gig: a starring role in Gia Coppola's upcoming drama The Secret Life of the Lonely Doll.

The Secret Life of the Lonely Doll is inspired by the life of Dare Wright, an author in the 1950s who became known for her children's book The Lonely Doll. Four decades later, she was found living in a public hospital by journalist Jean Nathan. Coppola will direct a script by Merritt Johnson. Indigenous Media will produce with Bruce Cohen and Jason Weinberg

Lange, who returns to Broadway this spring in Eugene O'Neill's drama at the American Airlines Theatre, will star with Naomi Watts.
