William Gaunt, Sheridan Smith Win Clarence Derwent Awards
Britain’s Actors Equity has announced the winners of its annual Clarence Derwent Awards, according to WhatsOnStage.com. The awards are given for the best supporting actor and actress on a UK stage.
Sheridan Smith has won for her role as Doris in Flare Path, while William Gaunt has been awarded for playing the roles of Worcester and Shallow in Henry IV Parts I and II.
The awards ceremony took place earlier today, November 18 at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London.
