Sadie Frost and Carl Barat to Star in London Fool for Love
Sadie Frost and Carl Barat will star in Sam Shepard’s Fool for Love at London’s Riverside Studios, to run January 25-March 21 as the first production of Love&Madness’ repertory season. Nell Sheppeck will direct the production.
Shepard’s 90-minute play recounts a painful love story. In a seedy motel room in southern California, a couple examines their differing views of their relationship as well as their lives as children.
Frost returned to the stage earlier this year to star in the one-woman play Touched at Trafalgar Studios. Barat is best known as the former co-frontman of f the Libertines. His subsequent band, Dirty Pretty Things, broke up in 2008.
The season will also includes Shakespeare’s Richard III (February 2-March 21), directed by Ben Kidd and featuring Frost as Lady Anne and Carl Prekopp in the title role, and a devised piece called Demi Monde (February 16-March 17), inspired by the designer and socialist William Morris.
