Royal Court Season to Feature Work by Jez Butterworth, Caryl Churchill, Tarell Alvin McCraney

London’s Royal Court Theatre has announced its new season, which will feature work by Jez Butterworth, Caryl Churchill, and Tarell Alvin McCraney, according to WhatsOnStage.com.

The season will open with James Macdonald’s production of Churchill’s Love and Information, which features over 100 characters trying to make sense of what they know, running September 14-October 13 in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs.

Lucy Kirkwood’s NSFW, exploring power and privacy in the media and beyond, will follow in the Theatre Downstairs, running October 31-November 24 under the direction of Simon Godwin. The season will close with Martin Crimp’s In the Republic of Happiness, running December 12-January 19.

The Upstairs Theatre season will open with McCraney’s Choir Boy, directed by Dominic Cooke, running September 10-October 6, followed by Butterworth’s The River, directed by Ian Rickson (October 26-Novembr 17), and EV Crowe’s Hero, directed by Jeremy Herrin (November 29-December 22).
