Amber Gray, Patrick Page to Reprise Roles in UK Production of Hadestown

Reeve Carney, André De Shields, Eva Noblezada, and more will join the cast in the National Theatre run of Anaïs Mitchell’s musical.

The National Theatre has announced the cast for the upcoming UK run of Anaïs Mitchell's Hadestown, running November 2, 2018-January 26, 2019.

Amber Gray and Patrick Page will reprise the roles of Persephone and Hades that they played in the original New York Theatre Workshop production. They will be joined by Reeve Carney as Orpheus, a role he played alongside Gray and Page at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, Canada.

The cast will also include André De Shields (Hermes); Eva Noblezada (Eurydice); Rosie Fletcher, Carly Mercedes Dyer, and Gloria Onitiri (the Fates); and Sharif Afifi, Beth Hinton-Lever, Seyi Omooba, Aiesha Pease, Joseph Prouse, Jordan Shaw, and Shaq Taylor.

Hadestown was developed with and is directed by Tony Award nominee Rachel Chavkin. The creative team will feature Rachel Hauck (set design), Michael Krass (costume design), Bradley King (lighting design), Nevin Steinberg (sound design), David Neumann (choreography), Liam Robinson (music direction), Michael Chorney (arrangements and orchestrations), and Todd Sickafoose (additional and co-arrangements and orchestrations).

As previously announced, Hadestown is set to transfer to Broadway in 2019. Theater, casting, ticketing information, and other news about Hadestown on Broadway will be announced at a later date.
