Josie de Guzman, Jennifer Harmon, et al. Set for Alley’s August: Osage County

Two-time Tony nominee Josie de Guzman will play Barbara Fordham and Broadway veteran Jennifer Harmon will portray Violet Weston in the Alley Theatre’s production of Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer Prize-winning play, August: Osage County. Jackson Gay will direct the production, which will perform on the Hubbard Stage, February 18-March 13.

The play tells the story of the Westons, a large extended clan that comes together at their Oklahoma home when the patriarch disappears. Forced to confront unspoken truths and secrets, the family must also contend with Violet, a pill-popping, deeply unsettled woman at the center of this storm.

The cast will also feature Jeffrey Bean as Bill Fordham, James Belcher as Charlie Aiken, James Black as Steve Heidebrecht, Elizabeth Bunch as Karen Weston, Louisa Flaningam as Mattie Fae Aiken, Sarah Gay as Johnna Monevata, Chris Hutchison as Little Charles Aiken, Eva Kaminsky as Ivy Weston, Charles Krohn as Beverly Weston, Emily Neves as Jean Fordham and Todd Waite as Sheriff Deon Gilbeau.

The production will feature scenic and lighting design by Kevin Rigdon, costume design by Alejo Vietti, sound design by Pierre Dupree, and fight direction by Brian Byrnes.
