Kieran Campion, Kathleen Chalfant, Mia Dillon, Edward Herrmann Set for Westport Reading of A Song at Twilight

Kathleen Chalfant will join the previously reported Kieran Campion, Mia Dillon, and Edward Herrmann in a reading of Noël Coward’s A Song at Twilight, part of Westport Country Playhouse’s Script in Hand Series, on Monday, November 15, at 7 p.m. Anne Keefe will direct.

The play is a bittersweet comedy about a cosmopolitan author caught in his declining years between two women, one being his wife of convenience for 20 years, the other, one of his former loves.

Campion’s Broadway credits include Pygmalion, Journey’s End, and Our Town, while he’s appeared at Westport in David Copperfield and Journey’s End. Chalfant received Tony and Drama Desk nominations for Angels in America, and won rama Desk, OBIE, Lucille Lortel, Outer Critics and Connecticut Critics Circle Awards for Wit. Dillon was Tony-nominated for Crimes of the Heart and her Westport credits include Return Engagements, Speed-the-Plow, Angel Street, and Our Town, which transferred to Broadway. Herrmann won a Tony for Mrs. Warren’s Profession, and appeared at Westport Country Playhouse in A Holiday Garland.
