Liz Callaway Joins Christy Altomare Onstage in Anastasia on Broadway

At the curtain call of the Friday, September 7, performance of Anastasia, Liz Callaway — who provided the singing voice of Anastasia in the original 1997 animated film — joined current star Christy Altomare during curtain call to perform a duet of "Journey to the Past." As previously announced, a new single featuring Callaway and Altomare performing the song will be released on September 28. Check out photos from the special performance below.

Anastasia opened on Broadway on April 24, 2017, at the Broadhurst Theatre, featuring a book by Terrence McNally, a score by Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics), and direction by Darko Tresnjak. The cast is currently led by Christy Altomare, Zach Adkins, John Bolton, Max von Essen, Vicki Lewis, and Mary Beth Peil.

The single will be available September 28 for purchase on iTunes and for streaming on Spotify and Apple Music. A special music video will be released with the single. The duet features accompaniment by Flaherty and a vocal arrangement by Benjamin Rauhala.
