The Book of Mormon played its 3,000th performance on Saturday, May 26 at Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre.

Written by Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez, The Book of Mormon won 2011 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book, among several others. Choreographed by Casey Nicholaw and directed by Nicholaw and Parker, it tells the story of two Mormon missionaries who get more than they bargained for when they're sent to AIDS-ravaged Uganda.

The current Broadway cast features Dave Thomas Brown (Elder Price), Cody Jamison Strand (Elder Cunningham), Nikki Renée Daniels (Nabulungi), Billy Eugene Jones (Mafala Hatimbi), and Stephen Ashfield (Elder McKinley, Moroni). The ensemble includes J. Casey Barrett, Lewis Cleale, Christian Delcroix, Ben Estus, Donell James Foreman, Charlie Franklin, Jacob Haren, Marja Harmon, Oyoyo Joi, Carole Denise Jones, John K. Kramer, Ben Laxton, Darius Nichols, John Eric Parker, Arbender J. Robinson, Derrick Williams, and Maia Nkenge Wilson.
