After 34 previews and 808 performances, Anastasia will end its run at the Broadhurst Theatre on March 31. The show launched its Broadway run on March 23, 2017, after a sold-out run at Hartford Stage.

Anastasia features a book by Terrence McNally, an original score by Tony winners Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics), and direction by Tony winner Darko Tresnjak. Ahrens and Flaherty penned the tunes for the 1997 animated film on which the stage musical is based, and have expanded their score, which contains the songs "Once Upon a December" and "Journey to the Past," for the theatrical production.

The company is led by Christy Altomare, Cody Simpson, John Bolton, Constantine Germanacos, Vicki Lewis, and Penny Fuller. Featured in the ensemble are Gail Bennett, Lauren Blackman, Kathryn Boswell, Maria Briggs, Justin Scott Brown, Kyle Brown, Kristen Smith Davis, Colby Dezelick, Janet Dickinson, Wes Hart, Anika Lore Hatch, Ken Krugman, Dustin Layton, Brian Munn, Delilah Rose Pellow, James A. Pierce III, Molly Rushing, Tally Sessions, Jennifer Smith, Allison Walsh, Matt Wiercinski, Lyrica Woodruff, and Kelli Youngman.

The national tour of Anastasia is now playing across the country, with international productions in Madrid and Stuttgart, Germany.
