Ken Baltin, Paige Clark, Scott Fortier Set for New Repertory Theatre’s The Kite Runner

New Repertory Theatre has announced casting for its upcoming production of The Kite Runner, to run September 9-30 at Arsenal Center for the Arts’ Charles Mosesian Theater. Elaine Vaan Hogue will direct.

Based on the best-selling novel by Khaled Hosseini and adapted by playwright and educator Matthew Spangler, The Kite Runner follows boyhood friends Amir and Hassan in 1970s Afghanistan.

The cast will feature Ken Baltin (Baba, Ensemble), Paige Clark (Soraya, Ensemble), Scott Fortier (Rahim Khan, Ensemble), Fahim Hamid (Young Amir, Ensemble), Ahmad Maksoud (Kamal, Ensemble), Johnnie McQuarley (Ali, Ensemble), Luke Murtha (Hassan, Ensemble), Nael Nacer (Amir), Rob Najarian (Wali, Ensemble), Dale Place (General Taheri, Ensemble), and John Zdrojeski (Assef, Ensemble).

The design team will include Paul Tate dePoo, III (set design),Adrienne Carlile (costume design), Mary Ellen Stebbins (lighting design), David Reiffel (sound design), and Lauren Duffy (prop design).
