Xander Chauncey, Michelle Dawson et al. Set for Westchester Broadway Theatre’s Jekyll and Hyde, Directed by Robert Cuccioli

Casting has been announced for the Westchester Broadway Theatre’s production of Frank Wildhorn’s musical Jekyll & Hyde, which will run September 30 – November 28, 2010 and then resume December 29 – February 6, 2011. As previously reported, Robert Cuccioli will direct, with choreography by Jean-Paul Richard.

This musical tale of the epic battle between good and evil is based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic story about a brilliant doctor whose experiments with human personality create a murderous counterpart. The original stage conception was by Steve Cuden and Wildhorn. The book and lyrics are by Leslie Bricusse. The music is by Wildhorn with orchestrations by Kim Scharnberg and arrangements by Jason Howland.

The cast will include Xander Chauncey (Jekyll/Hyde), Michelle Dawson( Lucy), Jennifer Babiak (Emma), Tom Galantich (Utterson), James Van Treuren (Sir Danvers), Jessica Morris (Lady Beaconfields), Paul Binotto, Jane Bunting, Katie Keyser, Karen Webb, Leah Monzillo, Kevin Melendez, Sean Patrick Murtagh, Jean Paul Richard, Ron Tal, Tom Schubert, Christopher DeRosa, Britt Johnson and Benjamin McHugh (Dance Captain).

The creative team will include Andrew Gmoser (lighting design), Jonathan Hatton (sound design), Gail Baldoni (costumes).

Cuccioli received a Tony Award nomination for starring as the title characters in the Broadway premiere of the musical. His other New York credits include Jacques Brel…, And the World Goes Round, and The Rothschilds. He is currently starring in Dietrich and Chevalier: The Musical, Off-Broadway at St. Luke’s Theatre.
