Cora Bissett and Matthew Pidgeon Set for Tour of Midsummer (a play with songs), Including Kennedy Center Engagement

Cora Bissett and Matthew Pidgeon will reprise their performances as Helena and Bob, respectively, when David Greig and Gordon McInty’re Midsummer (a play with songs), launches a tour from the Traverse Theatre, running October 19 – 23. Greig is directing the piece, which will be designed by Georgia McGuinness and have lighting design by Claire Elliot.

The tour will also include engagements at the Tron Theatre in Glasgow (October 26 – November 6), the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. (November 11-13), Theatre Royal Bath (November 23-27) and finally, the Tricycle Theatre in London (November 29 – January 29).

The play focuses on the ill-fated love affair between the two characters and one lost weekend that they share. Thee work debuted in 2008 and has since toured internationally.
