Bonnie Fogel, Carolyn Griffin, Molly Smith Become Helen’s Stars at theatreWashington Gala
Arena Stage artistic director Molly Smith, Imagination Stage founder and executive director Bonnie Fogel, and MetroStage producing artistic director Carolyn Griffin will be honored with the Helen’s Star Award at theatreWashington’s Star Gala benefit, to be held on October 26 at the Four Seasons Hotel.
The evening will feature both a silent auction and a live auction, conducted by Sebastian Clarke of Doyle New York and Antiques Roadshow.
The Helen’s Star award is named for actress Helen Hayes, a Washingtonian who “epitomized excellence and accomplishment.” The award is present to Smith, Fogel, and Griffin to honor their generosity and efforts that have changed Washington theater.
