The Screwtape Letters, Jeffrey Fiske and Max McLean’s 90-minute adaptation of C.S. Lewis novel, will begin a national tour in October. The production is directed by Fishe and stars McLean as Screwtape and Karen Eleanor Wight as Toadpipe.

Set in an office in hell, the play offers a funny, thought-provoking look into spiritual warfare from a demon’s point of view when a senior devil, Screwtape, and his secretary, Toadpipe, train a new apprentice, Wormwood. The creative team will include Cameron Anderson (scenic design), Michael Bevins (costume design), Bart Fasbender (sound design), and Tyler Micoleau (lighting design).

The show will play the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek, California (October 2-3), the Herberger Theatre Center in Phoenix (October 30-November 1), The Brown Theatre in Louisville (November 6), the Coral Springs Center for the Arts in Florida (November 14-15), The Tivoli Auditorium in Chattanooga (November 21-22), and The Lansburgh Theatre in Washington D.C. (December 16-January 3).
