John Logan’s Red Added to Asolo Repertory Theatre’s 2011-2012 Season

John Logan’s Tony Award-winning Red has replaced Liz Brixius’ adaptation of Henry Moses’ film Who the *$&% Is Jackson Pollock in the Asolo Repertory Theatre‘s 2011-2012 season. The production will run March 30 – April 22.

Red focuses on master abstract expressionist Mark Rothko and his young assistant. Casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.

The season will also include, as previously announced, productions of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s My Fair Lady (November 18 – December 23), George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart’s Once in a Lifetime (January 6 – April 1), Yasmina Reza’s God of Carnage (January 13 – February 29), Leah Napolin and Isaac Bashevis Singer’s Yentl (January 20 – April 26), Noël Coward’s Fallen Angels (March 9 – May 13), and Michael Donald Edwards’s Hamlet, Prince of Cuba (March 23 – May 6), among others.
