The Seattle Shakespeare Company has received the Shakespeare for a New Generation grant from the Arts Midwest and the National Endowment for the Arts for the 8th year in a row.

The grant will assist in bringing productions of Romeo and Juliet and Julius Caesar to schools across Washington State in the spring of 2013. This touring program, running in March, April, and May of next year, includes accompanying educational activities such as in-school residencies, workshops, and post-performance discussions.

The Seattle Shakespeare Company continues to work towards the belief in the power and vibrancy of Shakespeare’s words and ideas and commitment to artistic excellence on stage.
