Georgia Shakespeare Festival to Present Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses, Hamlet in 2013

Georgia Shakespeare Festival has announced the selections for its upcoming 2013 season, which will include four major productions.

The season begins in May with a remounting of 2012’s Much Ado About Nothing as part of the company’s Shakespeare in the Park at Piedmont Park’s Legacy Fountain area.

This will be followed by Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses, opening June 21 at the Conant Performing Arts Center.

Later in the summer, the company will present the world premiere of co-founder and Producing Artistic Director Richard Garner’s family show Mighty Myths & Legends, based on the works of Ovid. In the fall, the company will present a full-scale production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, also at the Conant.
