We Players will present William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, which will play a limited engagement on Alcatraz Island, October 2-November 21. This site-specific and ambulatory production will be directed by Ava Roy.
The cast will feature Andrus Nichols (Hamlet), Scott Phillips (Claudius), Jack Halton (Polonius), Misti Boettiger (Ophelia), Carly Cioffi (Gertrude), Nick Trengove (Horatio), Ben Stowe (Laertes), Kevin Singer (Rosencrantz), Ross Travis ( Guildenstern), Steve Boss (Player King), Rebecca Longworth (Player Queen), as well as Caroline Parsons, Cara Ziesloft, Sallie Romer, Ali Hanson, and Geof Libby.
The production will feature an original score by musician and composer Charlie Gurke, and costume design by Arthur Oliver.
