California Shakespeare Theater Announces Cast for Candida

California Shakespeare Theater is set to present George Bernard Shaw’s Candida, August 10-September 4 at the Bruns Amphitheater. Artistic Director Jonathan Moscone will direct.

Candida is a witty comedy about a morally superior clergyman in turn-of-the-century London, his enigmatically charismatic wife, and the wildly romantic young poet who puts their marriage to the ultimate test.

The cast will include Julie Eccles in the title role, Anthony Fusco as Reverend James Morrell, Nick Gabriel as Eugene Marchbanks, Alexandra Henrikson as Miss Proserpine Garnett, Jarion Monroe as Mr. Burgess, and Nicholas Pelczar as Reverend Lexy Mill.

The design team will be comprised of Annie Smart (set design), Anna Oliver (costume design), York Kennedy (lighting design), and Will McCandless (sound design).
